 Featured Project

  This months project we feature
our friend Rocky's Fender Yngwie Signature Series Strat that he wanted Randyciak.com to transform  to look and feel
like Yngwie's real Duck!

We specialize in Guitar Mods!

Tune in each week as we modify this
this sweet guitar online at
randyciak.com!

Donor guitar: Fender Yngwie
Malmsteen Signature Strat - Our
Friend Rocky purchased this baby for
$1395.00. - Although he loves the tone
and feel of this axe - The "look
just wasn't right. He contacted
Randyciak.com to transform his axe
into a "PLAY Loud /Duck" replica.

Guitar body assembly prior to disassembly. Rocky has supplied us
with his own "Ferrari shield"

Rear view - pretty plain jane  -  run of the mill mass-produced signature series guitar..
BORING - haha - we will fix that!!

Removing the hardware & pick guard
assy.

All hardware is added to our aging
soup - This will take about a week
soaking the parts in our proprietary formula - Hey what's that large rusty bolt doing in there?
Fender factory used Black Primer
under the Vintage Crème topcoat -
we will need to do a Nitro white primer spray-over - then Vintage Crème topcoat
(This needs to be done because when
the body is AGED,, the white paint will show Like the real duck - not black)

White nitro primer ready to shoot...

 spppray - White primer coat
lays down....nice and uniform
..in the meantime, we aged the pick guard
knobs & pickup covers

White Primer finally dried - time for
more sanding with 600 grit to prep for
the Vintage Crème Top Coat

All hardware is pulled from the
soup  - wow looks FANTASTIC!

Vintage Crème nitro coat
applied....Almost time to age this baby!!

Let the aging process begin! Areas
to remove first get penciled in. Note
the sticker we are using is a "copy"
of the real Ferrari Shield - The sticker
did not have "Ferrari" logos on the peel
back surface.
First stage of the finish removal process is almost complete. We work by hand, using enhanced photos
of the original instrument.
Play loud sticker added - and front-side
of the body aged.

  Backside is complete- NOTE: the
sticker is inferior - we could not
wear and fade it
like the real duck. (In doing so it
started to crumble) It still looks pretty
cool though!
Mock assy of the pick guard &
Trem Unit - Sjal we "UNLEASH
the FURY" Now???
Real assembly is complete - We Hope
our friend Rocky will enjoy this
instrument for years to come!!

PLay LOud!!
