REH Video Strat Neck!

Well even age her to make
it look like Yngwie himself
burned on the baby for years!!

We specialize in Guitar Mods!

Tune in each week as we build this
this sweet clone neck online at
randyciak.com!

Neck arrived from our exclusive
Fender licensed body & neck
manufacturing plant in New Jersey,
USA  !!! Notice the PH
Scoop - (The Peg Head scoop is the
radius from the top of the finger board to
the flat area of the head stock. The
transition is rounded, the older strat's
and Tele's had a smaller curve (Radius).

Built to Yngwie's Exact 54 Strat Specs - Including huge Stainless Steel 6100 Frets! This neck will not only look like the RHS Video Cover Neck, but Feel identical to the Master Shredders Scalloped Weapon!!

The scallop processing begins - we
protect the frets with thick Permacel
tape and get out the good ole hand
tools...a blend of round files and
150 grit attached to my calibrated
pencil is used to cut away at the
hard rock maple!

Rough Scalloping is complete. Next
we finish sand the fretboard using
 220, 320, and 400 grit  sandpaper

Sand , Sand, Sand until all the
file marks disappear and the
scallops are smooth and even.
Is the Fender Custom Shop Hiring
- Ha ha!?
Next we mask the fret board duplicating
Yngwies wear pattern on his infamous
CAR REH Video Strat!!!
The worn areas will
be covered, as the exposed areas
will get a nice thick tinted nitro cellulous
lacquer coat.

Lots of time is spent here, but
it will be all worth it in the end....

Sealer is sprayed over the entire neck Note: The masked areas need to be
tinted to look like old wood, therefore
we will not seal the worn (masked) areas until after the tinting stain is  applied.

Sealer is sanded and tinted nitro is
applied  to the fret board, heel
and headstock only.

  ..This neck will be
new but have a broken in look and
feel!!

Fret board masking is removed and
custom mixture of stains are
used to get the right  worn
fret board color just right - this
is a pure art form..
We use Dean's real 74 strat
(With cool wear at the Cowboy Chord
area) as a guides to help us
arrive at the right color and texture of
the Yngwie Battered F....

  New Vintage Reissue Kluson
Deluxe tuners are aged in
a soup of rusted steel wool...Then they
get get a dose of heat to dull up the
chrome
Brass nut has been pre-aged - we will fit her later... Tinted Nitro was thick and glossy and had
to set for about a full week. Next we wet sanded the entire neck to 2000 grit
and then polished to an aged luster..

  Vintage Kluson tuners installed...We
tarnished them a bit to look old.. Check
out the neckplate in the background!!
Here's the back view of out
completed scalloped, aged
masterpiece - She's all ready
broken in and with
plenty of  vintage vibe....
............OK - this is a new neck right?
Note the headstock cig burn and the
string slices behind the nut - attention to
detail is everything when building
a replica....

  Our Yngwie Aged REH Video
clone neck is complete! Single String
tree will be added after the neck
installed & strung up....... Thanks for
tuning in!!
