Born and raised on the east coast, Jeff was the perfect
example of an all around guy-- high school star quarterback, tennis,
basketball
and golf player, and All American diver on his swim team. It wasn¹t
until the beginning part of his junior year was he involved in an
automobile accident causing a broken neck and spinal cord injury.
Hospitalization and rehabilitation consumed every day of the next
six months.

Jeff returned to school and was graduated
before taking on college as a wheelchair user. After his first
two years of study he was accepted and transferred to Wright State
University
where enrolled in a new bio/engineering program dealing with spinal
cord research. The program was highly acclaimed and was featured
on a segment of “60 Minutes.” While participating in
this promising study for SCI patients, he continued his studies
that lead to a B.A. degree in psychology and business, two subjects
that
certainly fueled the mind of this aspiring comedy writer with plenty
of material.

Jeff began writing jokes for other
comedians but soon realized the material was more suited for him.
Somehow he gained the courage to get on stage and try his routine
on a comedy club audience. At night he would develop his craft as
a comedian while, during the day, he transformed his writing ability
into a copywriting position for national radio and magazines. He
later wrote for and developed computer games for Micropose. The comedy
bug never left Jeff and soon he performing al around the country
as a comedian and speaker. His programs have been positively reviewed
by students of all ages, college campuses, organization events, fund-raisers
and corporate programs.

He performs in a wheelchair and
is billed as a “sit down comic who’s always on a roll.” For
over fifteen years, Jeff has been entertaining groups around the
country. He has performed with acts such as Kevin Nealon, Drew Carey,
The Grass Roots, Apollonia, Max Gail, Miss Universe, Dave Somerville.
His style of comedy opens the mind of his audience allowing them
to see that the disabled community also have a wacky sense of humor
they want to share. He is not only funny, but inspirational.

Jeff’s direction in life encouraged him to move
to Los Angeles to pursue his comedy and acting dreams. He has become
a scriptwriter (film & sitcom) and contributing writer to many
magazines including “ABILITY Magazine” and has published
a humor book titled, “Medical Secrets Revealed.” He has
recently written, produced and starred in a sitcom, GOOD SAM, that
takes place in a rehabilitation hospital and is shopping the project
around Hollywood. Jeff continues to tour the country as a comedian
and motivational speaker and is currently starring in a play called “There’s
Life In Gimp City.” This year he will be involved in producing
several comedy specials, using disabled talent, for network TV. |
